5 Creative Ideas For Anyone Remodeling Their Bathroom

Posted on: 30 November 2021

Are you tired of your old bathroom and want to refresh the look? If so, you should consider these ideas that you may not have thought of.

In-Floor Radiant Heat

Do you hate stepping out of your shower to have your feet touch the cold floor? If you are replacing the existing flooring, consider adding in-floor radiant heat. By heating the floors, it makes your feet and the bottom half of your body warm as you are drying off. Thankfully, this doesn't have to be done with hot water pipes. You can add radiant heat with electric cables. By connecting them to a timer, you can turn on the heat before you enter the shower, and step out to feel the warmth.

Curbless Shower Door

There are many reasons to add a curbless shower door to your bathroom. Not only does it make it easier to get in and out of the shower and look incredibly modern, but it makes your shower handicap accessible. This can be a great addition if you are older in age and planning on staying in your home through retirement.

Built-In Shower Shelves

If you are going to remodel your shower, there is no point in putting those extra freestanding shelves back in when it is finished. Consider creating some built-in shelves in the shower so that you can hold onto all of your soaps and take up as little room as possible. Just make sure that the shelves are tall enough to fit everything that you need, but not too tall where you are wasting space.

Freestanding Bathtub

Every home needs at least one bathtub for functional purposes. If this bathroom has a bathtub, consider changing it to a freestanding tub. The look of a freestanding tub is quite different than a built-in tub that is flush with the wall since it can make the space look bigger and more modern. In addition, the tub now becomes a focal point of the bathroom and part of the overall design

Floating Vanity

Another way to upgrade the look of your bathroom but retain the function is a floating vanity. By installing the vanity to the wall and removing the legs, it creates a unique look that stands out in a great way. In addition, you can use that space beneath the vanity for additional storage, such as trash cans, laundry hampers, and things of that nature.
